Lucile Grant 1910-2013 outside Toronto, CA 2012 outtake from enRoute assignment by Adam Amengual Lucile was the oldest person I had ever photographed. She just passed at almost 103 years old. What a life she lived and its amazing to think how much she had seen the world change. Lucile is most well known for being Air Canada’s first flight attendant and that was the reason I was given the opportunity to photograph her. To read more about Lucile you can find her obituary here. Lucile is the around the 6th person that I have photographed in the last 10 years or so that has passed. I always get a bit nostalgic when this happens. I feel lucky to have had the opportunity to capture that person’s presence on earth. To immortalize them in a way. I just hope that the portraits I made do them justice.
